Is anyone else keeping their wallet deep in their handbag? The economic crisis, my upcoming wedding (and honeymoon! any recommendations?)…these days, buying things to wear seems so discordant with the times. But man, are there a lot of sales! Below are a few I was thrilled to learn of. And you know what? I’m planning on attending them all— it’s holiday shopping, yo! In tough times, buying for others is the new retail therapy.

Haute hoodie, anyone? I have long loved this label (remember when I posted on their sick shrunken leather jacket?) but have never been a fan of their prices. Well, tomorrow begins their first-ever sample sale! (At least according to Daily Candy.) Maybe there will be—gasp—real samples! Maybe even bins!

Ah yes, another designer who has graced the pages of threadmettle. I am not really a jewelry person, but you might recall how much I loved those skull studs…now I’m seeing stars:

Well, as my comment reveals, yesterday I tromped over to 36th and 10th to get me some stylish comfy clothes a la Mike & Chris and— lo and behold— no sale! Well, it appears that the financial crisis is really effecting everyone; according to Racked, Mike & Chris has gone belly up!
