Buffalo Exchange Brooklyn

So the Brooklyn outpost of clothing reseller Buffalo Exchange is now up and running. While I’m not wowed by the current selection, I’ve got high hopes. I mean, have you been to the Park Slope Beacon’s Closet? I’ve seen Manolos for $15, and that’s not just a one-time thing— they’ve got a generous sprinkling of high-end stuff whenever I happen in. Some fancy Park Slope ladies must be selling to them over there; I trust the clothes horses of BoCoCa will catch on and follow suit.

OH and there’s something else, via Racked: tomorrow, in celebration of Earth Day, all Buffalo Exchange locations will offer select merchandise for $1. That should drive some traffic.

I can’t believe I bought a pair of shoes at Ann Taylor!

I haven’t ambled into AT to browse, like, ever. But the other day I spotted these flats and asked the wearer where she’d found them. She chuckled sheepishly before telling me.

I hunted them down and bought them the next day. There were some cute bright leather clutches, too. Is AT pulling a Banana Republic? Or a J.Crew?

It is spring. And as everything moves quickly in spring, I’m going to be doing more short-format posting—pictures of things that catch my eye or inspire covetousness, less (witty?) commentary. Fellas, if you’re going to rock a baseball cap, you might want to keep a straight brim. And black on black is a winning color combo.

I spent a few too many minutes browsing nude nail polishes last week. Finding the right one is tough! It can’t be too prim, too Ballet Slippers. Too gold or mauve = Florida retiree. The right one should have a grey tinge. It should make you look a little unwell.

My search was not successful, but then I spotted this shade at my book club. It’s perfect! Not at all pink or gold. As the wearer pointed out, it’s a little khaki.
